The Island County Auditor is seeking applicants for 4 temporary election workers in the Coupeville Elections Office.

The work is performed on an intermittent basis as needed - up to four times per year - to conduct elections.  Elections tasks include ballot assembly, a repetitive task involving long periods of sitting to hand assemble ballot materials for mailing and processing of voted ballots which also requires long periods of sedentary, manual work.  All tasks are performed in compliance with WA State Election laws:  RCWs and WACs.  All aspects of election work require manual dexterity, sitting for long periods of time to conduct highly repetitious work, and great attention to detail.  Training will be provided.

If you are interested in joining our election worker team, please submit an email indicating your interest to Auditor, Sheilah Crider at s.crider@co.island.wa.us .  The team environment requires a commitment of block of time up to four times a year.  The pay is currently $10.00 per hour.  Thank you.

Ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day at 8:00 pm.
ADA Compliant Ballot drop boxes are available 24-hours per day, beginning as soon as ballots go out in the mail.  They will be open until 8:00 p.m. on election night.
