How do I change my Party?
In Washington State, we do not register by party so there is no party affiliation to change before the election.  When you receive your ballot, you will have to choose either Democrat or Republican and sign swearing to that party's declaration.

Dates of Interest for the May 24, 2016 Presidential Primary Election
March 19: Last Day for the Secretary of State to certify the final list of Presidential Primary candidates.
April 8: Ballots for Military and Overseas Civilians mailed
April 25: Deadline for mail-in or online new registrations or updates to be eligible for this election
May 4: Ballots are mailed
May 16: Last day for in-person registration prior to this election for those not currently registered in Washington State
May 24: Presidential Primary Results released after 8 pm.
May 25: June 1: 4 pm - Counting of ballots as necessary (if more than 500 left to count)
June 6: 2 pm - Canvassing Board meeting to canvass referred ballots
             4 pm - Final ballot count
June 7: 2 pm - County Canvassing Board certifies election
