Elections

The Elections Department administers all federal, state and local elections in Pacific County, registers voters, maintains voter registration records, and provides voter information. Currently, there are approximately 13,475 registered voters in Pacific County.

All voters will receive their ballots in the mail. The courthouse will remain open for ballot drop-off and use of disability voting equipment between 7:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. on Election Day. Disability voting equipment is also available 18 days before the election through election day.

According to RCW’s 29A.64.021 and .030, regarding the recount of votes cast for the City of South Bend City Council Member 1 race.

The difference in votes cast between the two candidates in the November 7, 2017 General election meets the statutory threshold of fewer than 2,000 votes and less than 0.5 percent. The difference is 0.25.

 

The Pacific County Canvassing Board will meet on Friday December 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Elections Room at the Courthouse, 300 Memorial Drive, South Bend. Observers are welcome to attend.
