The Elections Department is a part of the Walla Walla County Auditor's Office.  We are responsible for administering elections in the county for all federal, state, county, municipal, and special districts.  Elections may occur up to four times per year.  Special Elections may be held in February or April, a Primary Election is held in August, and a General Election is held in November.
The Elections Department is also responsible for voter registration.  Walla Walla County has approximately 37,000 voters.  Voters are assigned precincts based on their address and that information is kept in a voter database.  As information about a voter changes, the voter registration files are updated.

Walla Walla County is a vote-by-mail county.
The information on this site is provided to help you better understand the process.
